What is tinnitus?

Tinnitus is the ringing, buzzing, or hissing sound or sounds heard inside one or both ears. Tinnitus sufferers can experience varying levels of discomfort from these internal noises, from a minor annoyance to an unrelenting, debilitating pain. There are over 50 million Americans who have experienced and/or live with tinnitus and the problem continues to grow on a global scale.

What are the causes of ringing in the ears?

Tinnitus may be caused by existing medical conditions or by certain medications. Some of these conditions include: allergies, high or low blood pressure (blood circulation problems), a tumor, diabetes, thyroid problems and injury to the head or neck. Medications that can cause tinnitus include: anti-inflammatory medicines, antibiotics, sedatives, antidepressants, and aspirin.

Colds and flu, noisy environments and allergy flare-ups can exacerbate the intensity of tinnitus noise. Ear infections and excessive ear wax may also play a part.

One of the most common causes amongst young people is the exposure to very loud music.

Other tinnitus irritants are diet related and involve ingesting high doses of salt, alcohol, sugar, artificial sweeteners, various medications, tobacco, and caffeine.

What are the treatment options?

Anti-anxiety drugs, risky surgeries, special diets, muscle relaxers, vitamins and herbal supplements may work temporarily on the symptoms of Tinnitus, but when the real cause of Tinnitus is neglected, the ringing will not stop and eventually and most often the severity of your tinnitus would increase. Some treatments seem to work for a time but the symptoms return and can often be even more severe.

A recent major medical study had shown that unless sinus, stress and anxiety related issues are tackled, treating the ear nerves will not stop tinnitus. Many tinnitus patients who went under the knife continued to suffer from tinnitus regardless of how successful the operation was.

The truth is, unless all internal factors which are responsible for tinnitus are treated and eliminated, the inner ear nerves will continue to cause the ringing, beeping and pulsing sounds.

What are the benefits of a holistic treatment for tinnitus?

In less than 7 weeks 100% of the participants had completely got rid of their tinnitus. It worked on all levels of severity with men and women of any age. All the women experienced the following benefits:

* They felt happier, calmer and more energized.

* They experienced dramatic improvement in other unrelated health conditions.

* They felt rejuvenated and reported looking younger and more vibrant.

Which is the right tinnitus solution for you?

Each sufferer of tinnitus has a personal experience with the condition. What brings relief for one person may not work for another. There are a variety of natural treatments available, but tinnitus sufferers should seek a physician’s care before pursuing a course of treatment. If you have been suffering recurring bouts of tinnitus and are looking for a solution I recommend taking a look at another method – which might be the exact solution you’ve been waiting for. Good luck.

ringing noise in ear but no pain help please!!?

Hi. A week ago, my mom was cleaning ear wax out of my right ear with a qtip when all of a sudden my right ear couldnt hear that well. It’s been a week and i’ve gradually noticed a ringing/buzzing noise in my ear. I’ve searched online and right now, i’m thinking that I have a perforated eardrum and that is causing tinnitus (the ringing/buzzing noise in my ear). I feel no pain in my ear and there’s no fluid coming out of my ear. It’s just really annoying because I can’t hear as well as I used to. Online, it said that a perforated eardrum should heal itself anywhere between a couple of weeks and a couple of months and the tinnitus should go away with it. Can anyone out there confirm (using the info i gave you) that I do in fact, have a perforated eardrum and do you know how long it will take for it to heal naturally? I’m 17 years old if that matters. Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

some causes of tinnitus?

apart from loud sounds and music, what are some of the other causes of tinnitus ?

I just got called for Jury Duty but have hearing loss can that be a reason to not attend?

I am 24 years old and do wear hearing aids, but I still have hearing loss. Could that be a reason not to attend? On the notice it says that for a disability that a physician has to fill it out. I live in California if that helps, thanks.

How much settlement to expect from auto accident?

Involved in an auto accident in Oregon 10/2008. Other driver was at fault. Hit me on the freeway doing 100MPH and totaled my car. Both myself and the other driver are fully insured. 000 compensated to total my 1995 BMW. Going to physical therapy for 10 months for back pains. Going to neurologist for coclia damage (inner ear fibers) which has caused tinnitus. I have a 24/7 ringing in my ears which is most likely going to be permanent damage I will have to live with. 00 for a neurological device to sooth the ringing which really just keeps me from going insane. I cannot go camping and avoid silent area’s like the plague because the ringing is so intense. I am probably up to k-k in medical expenses. I missed approximately 1 week of work, plus having to take time off for all the doctors appointments.

What can I expect in settlement beyond my medical being covered for pain, suffering and permanent discomfort/ damage to my inner ear?

Thanks,

Ears ringing after concert..?

I went to a concert friday night and now it’s sunday night. One of my ears is ringing. We were pretty close, in the very front, off to the side so we were turned a little, and now one of my ears is still ringing.
I know I probably did a little damage to it.
But when will it stop ringing!?!?! I can only hear it in quiet places and when i concentrate on it.
But it’s annoying. Next time im bringing earplugs for sure.
The concert was flyleaf, and it was only my second concert. (First one was flyleaf too. heehee.)
Anyways, the last time we werent as close and my ear didn’t ring… But yeah when will it go away? Geeeesh. it’s annoying. I’m 13 incase you were wondering. So yeah.. I’m bringing earplugs next time. I don’t want to be deaf when I’m 30. lol. Anyways, when will it stop and where can I get some good earplugs (under 20 dollars ish?) that are good for concerts and won’t really muffle the sound and stuff..
ANYWAYS

Thanks.
